To enable people to live and socialize in an online 3-D virtual environment with an immersive experience, the Metaverse poses unprecedented challenges to the future sixth generation (6G) system. Thereinto, real-time sensing is critical\n for collecting up-to-data information of the real world and digitally replicating a real-world in the virtual plane. To achieve this, wireless sensing could be suitable candidate owing to its ubiquitous and flexible characteristics.\n However, though contactless sensors embedded in the environment could fulfil such raising requirements, a more efficient solution is integrating wireless sensing functionality into current communication devices, in terms of same\n hardware, same spectrum, and even unified transmitting waveform. Thus, ubiquitous and high accuracy sensing services in Metaverse provide a natural (yet untapped) opportunity to co-design sensing and communications in the future\n mobile computing devices. This theme is typically referred to as Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) systems, which has been widely recognized to trigger a paradigm shift to the digital world, and drive the implementation\n of the Metaverse.<\/p>\n

To endow the Metaverse a real-time and immersive experience, recent studies have suggested various new key enablers that span all aspects for integrating intelligent sensing with communications, ranging from advanced beamforming and\n precoding methods, new networking and protocols, novel system architectures, more powerful computing and recognizing algorithms. The 2th ACM MobiSys Workshop on Integrated Sensing and Communications for Metaverse will bring ISAC\n researchers in academia, industry and national research labs, funding agencies and policy makers under one venue \u2014 to present their latest research findings and to discuss and brainstorm on the future challenges when conquering integration\n between communications and sensing for Metaverse. We look forward to meeting you either virtually or in person in Helsinki, Finland.<\/p>\n

It is intended that this workshop will show the state-of-the-art in ISAC original research contributions, tutorials and review for Metaverse, including (but not limited to):<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
